Job Description

River View Farms Inc is looking for a seasoned Plant Manager to join a new Egg Production Plant startup located in Orleans, IN. This individual will start approximately 1.5 months prior to plant opening traveling daily to our Washington, IN Egg Plant to shadow and learn processes associated with the facility. Production will be 5 days a week at startup with the potential to increase to 6 days depending on demand. This plant manager will oversee all plant operations and employees totaling approximately 25 individuals. The Plant Manager will coordinate daily with the onsite USDA representative conducting plant walk throughs ensuring standards are met for startup. This individual will be leading the charge in collaboration with the maintenance supervisor on troubleshooting production equipment as they appear. A strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical components is needed to be able to effectively manage the equipment. The Plant Manager will be responsible for managing the entire plant workforce, creating a strong work environment. They will be responsible for ensuring proper record keeping across the plant for all necessary items. In this role they will be responsible for consistently hitting throughput efficiency targets for the plant, meeting order requirements and meeting load times consistently. The plant manager will be coordinating with company ownership, HR and outside vendors to effectively run the plant. Must Haves 5+ years of experience working in a manufacturing/production environment featuring automation 3+ years of management experience Strong hands on mechanical/electrical troubleshooting experience Ability to manage relationships and foster a strong workplace environment Pluses Experience with Food Safety or SQF (Safe Quality Food) Experience in a food production environment Manufacturing Scheduling
