billion in sales in 2025.Job DescriptionSika Corporation is looking for and experienced Site Director to join it's growing team in the Canton, MA area for our Roofing business. This position is tasked with the efficient, safe, and environmentally correct operation and growth of the plant. The incumbent is expected to develop and implement new programs to achieve higher quality and productivity and be the Corporation's representative to direct and achieve our Vision in the Manufacturing Plant by cultivating an environment of confidence and trust.

Attain annual safety goals through a solid understanding of safety management as well as the ability to convey and enforce safety rules and procedures throughout the manufacturing organization.

In order to attain annual quality and delivery goals, this position must be familiar with the product quality needs of all products. Problem-solving, error-proofing and mentoring skills are required. The incumbent must have the ability to map processes and identify non value-added activities to streamline production activities.

Demonstrate ability to team up with the engineering, maintenance, and quality functions including participating in capital planning, preventative maintenance, and problem solving.

A comprehensive knowledge of continuous improvement concepts including statistical process control and lean manufacturing is also required. In addition, the incumbent must have a good understanding of mechanical engineering with conceptual understanding of chemical and/or electrical engineering.

The ability to communicate effectively with all members of the organization including educating them on the importance of continuous improvement as a key element of manufacturing.

Qualifications
  • Must be a well-educated manufacturing leader who is capable of pushing forward the necessary strategies and programs to increase quality, productivity and customer service.
  • This person must possess excellent communication skills, which are characterized by sincerity, persuasiveness and clarity of thought. 
  • Incumbent must have strong interpersonal skills reflecting leadership, sensitivity and the demonstrated desire and ability to foster teamwork focusing on positive cooperative communication.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Business or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years progressive Manufacturing Management experience.
