Job Description Lead, mentor, and develop the manufacturing engineering team. Ensure manufacturing processes comply with safety, environmental, and quality standards. Promote a culture of Right First Time (RFT) manufacturing and operational excellence. Serve as the technical authority for manufacturing processes and engineering decisions. Drive process improvements, innovation initiatives, and manufacturing technology implementation. Support new product introductions and integration into production operations. Implement digital manufacturing and advanced automation initiatives. Govern manufacturing engineering deliverables, project timelines, risks, and issue resolution. Manage engineering workload, resource planning, and departmental budgets. Collaborate with operations, supply chain, quality, and program management teams. Lead complex manufacturing changes including capital projects, facility improvements, and technology upgrades. Support implementation of lights-out manufacturing utilizing advanced 5-axis machining technologies. The Successful Applicant A successful Manufacturing Manager should have: Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 8+ years of manufacturing engineering experience. Demonstrated leadership experience managing engineering teams and technical projects. Strong background in manufacturing process development, optimization, and continuous improvement. Experience leading complex manufacturing initiatives including technology implementation, facility changes, or new product introductions. Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects, priorities, and engineering resources. Experience with digital manufacturing, automation, and advanced production technologies preferred. Strong customer-facing, stakeholder management, and communication skills. Experience supporting defense, aerospace, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments preferred. Knowledge of complex machining, welding, and high-mix/low-volume manufacturing operations. Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
