Production Manager

A well-established, family-owned food manufacturer with over 60 years of success is seeking a Production Manager to lead operations at their Medford-area facility. Known for high-quality, handcrafted products and a strong reputation in the market, the company is experiencing continued growth and expansion. This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role with direct visibility to the CEO and the opportunity to help scale the operation from a single-shift to a two-shift environment . Schedule Monday - Friday | 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM What You'll Do Lead daily production operations across a team of 80-100 employees Build and implement production planning and scheduling processes Drive efficiency, throughput, and cost improvements Play a key role in scaling operations (1 shift → 2 shifts) Monitor KPIs including labor efficiency, yield, and downtime Partner with Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams Ensure compliance with USDA and food safety regulations Develop, coach, and lead supervisors and production staff Maintain a strong presence on the production floor What You Bring 3-5+ years of production or operations leadership experience Background in food manufacturing (meat/USDA preferred) Strong experience with production planning and scheduling Proven ability to improve efficiency and scale operations Experience leading teams of 80+ employees Hands-on leadership style in fast-paced environments Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement Why This Role? 60+ year-old company with strong reputation and stability Family-owned with a team-oriented, supportive culture Rapid growth and national expansion Modern facility with updated equipment and capabilities High employee tenure and stable operations Clear path for advancement and career progression
