Temp-to-Hire Opportunity Schedule:
Full-Time/Days; rotating schedule, 5:00 AM - 5:00
PM Pay Rate:
$25.00/hour
Job Description:
Now hiring a dependable, hands-on Packaging Production Manager to oversee daily operations at a well-established manufacturing facility in Presque Isle. This opportunity offers a consistent daytime schedule, competitive pay, and full benefits after temp-to-hire period concludes. The Packaging Production Manager is responsible for coordinating production activities and ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality output within the facility. This role plays a critical part in daily staffing coordination, production planning, and team leadership. Employee will work closely with other departments to ensure that operations run smoothly and on schedule. Ideal candidate will have strong communication and leadership skills, a solid understanding of manufacturing processes, and extensive experience operating poly manufacturing machines or similar production equipment.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily production operations. Develop daily work schedules and coordinate staffing needs to meet production goals. Lead, train, and support team members to maintain a safe and productive work environment. Ensure compliance with all safety programs, OSHA standards, GMPs, and company policies. Conduct safety meetings, training sessions, and regular workplace safety audits. Monitor production processes to ensure products meet quality and specification standards. Verify documentation and maintain accurate QA records. Address and document jobsite incidents and corrective actions in accordance with company policies. Coordinate with maintenance to ensure equipment is operating properly; initiate work orders as needed. Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of new production equipment. Monitor inventory levels and requisition materials, supplies, and PPE as needed for production operations. Ensure proper handling, labeling, and disposal of materials in compliance with hazardous waste regulations. Conduct routine inspections to maintain safety, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance. Promote teamwork across shifts and support a positive, high-performance work environment. Serve as emergency coordinator to ensure the safety of employees and visitors when required. Perform other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager.
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Advanced training or education in business management or manufacturing equipment preferred. 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment required. 3-5 years of supervisory or management experience required. Strong knowledge of safety regulations, including OSHA and GMP standards. Experience with production scheduling and workflow coordination. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to read, interpret, and prepare reports, instructions, and documentation. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment. Working knowledge of computers, standard office software, and business systems. Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs. as needed. TEMPO Employment Services is an EEO/AA Employer.
