This position provides direction, support, and supervision to shop floor supervisors, promotes employee development, monitors production performance and equipment utilization, supports quality and safety objectives, and leads efforts to improve workflow, organization, 5S activities, and overall shop floor performance. Education, Certifications, Licenses, and/or Registrations High school diploma or equivalent is required. Associate degree in Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Technology, Business Management, Operations Management, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred. Valid driver license is required. Experience Minimum five (5) years of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment. Specialized Knowledge and Skills
- Thorough knowledge of manufacturing operations, production processes, workflow management, and production scheduling.
- Strong leadership, coaching, employee development, and conflict resolution skills.
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, workplace safety practices, and incident investigation.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Able to read blueprints, tape measure, and other measuring tools
- Advanced reading and math skills
- Computer proficient with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products
- Working knowledge of office equipment including phones, computers, copiers, etc.
- Strong verbal, written, oral, and interpersonal skills
- Able to organize and prioritize workload set by Production Manager
- Must have clear communication skills and be able to reiterate information as necessary
- Able to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
