This position provides direction, support, and supervision to shop floor supervisors, promotes employee development, monitors production performance and equipment utilization, supports quality and safety objectives, and leads efforts to improve workflow, organization, 5S activities, and overall shop floor performance. Education, Certifications, Licenses, and/or Registrations High school diploma or equivalent is required. Associate degree in Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Technology, Business Management, Operations Management, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred. Valid driver license is required. Experience Minimum five (5) years of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment. Specialized Knowledge and Skills

Utilize priorities to direct and coordinate efficient and timely production, receiving, warehousing, and shipping of products. 2. Establish, monitor, and communicate plant-wide production goals. 3. Collaborate with shop floor supervisors to plan current and future production needs, coordinate regular and overtime schedules, and ensure production goals are met. 4. Monitor departmental productivity, labor utilization, machine utilization, operational efficiency, and non-production related hours, and implement corrective actions when necessary. 5. Analyze production performance data and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, eliminate bottlenecks, and improve workflow throughout the facility. 6. Participate in the recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, and training of production personnel. 7. Maintain necessary departmental staffing and address employee requests, absences, work hours, time off, shift changes, and light-duty assignments. 8. Identify cross-training opportunities and work with shop floor supervisors to improve workforce flexibility, employee skill development, and coverage for key positions. 9. Promote teamwork, accountability, communication, and collaboration between departments and shifts. 10. Monitor and address issues between departments and shifts to support consistent communication and production flow. 11. Aid in implementing company procedures on the shop floor and ensure departmental supervisors understand and follow applicable procedures. 12. Coordinate with the maintenance supervisor and shop floor supervisors regarding equipment downtime, machine breakdowns, and preventive maintenance activities. 13. Work with the quality department to review and respond to quality-related issues on the shop floor, including recurring quality concerns, root cause analysis, and corrective actions. 14. Work with the Safety Coordinator to promote a proactive safety culture, enforce safety standards, and coordinate corrective actions for accidents, near misses, or unsafe conditions. 15. Lead and support 5S activities throughout production areas to improve workplace organization, cleanliness, safety, efficiency, and visual management. 16. Work with shop floor supervisors to establish, maintain, and audit 5S standards, including sorting, setting in order, shining, standardizing, and sustaining work areas. 17. Identify and address 5S improvement opportunities related to tool storage, material staging, aisleways, work-in-process, signage, labeling, and overall shop floor organization. 18. Serve as supervisor when shop floor supervisors are absent or designate a qualified fill-in supervisor. 19. Lead and develop shop floor supervisors through coaching, mentoring, training, performance feedback, and clear communication of expectations. 20. Evaluate shop floor supervisors. Give praise or take corrective action when appropriate. 21. Hold shop floor supervisors accountable for meeting production, safety, quality, attendance, communication, employee development, and company procedure expectations. 22. Review, and approve or deny, shop floor supervisor time off requests. 23. Follow all company and safety policies, guidelines, and rules. 24. Follow all quality standards. 25. Work Environment Mainly an office environment position, this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. For production‐related needs, frequent trips to the manufacturing shop floor will be necessary. Safety eyewear and other PPE will be required as necessary. Physical Demands This individual must be able to concentrate for extended periods of time. The position may require long periods of sitting or standing while using office equipment and computers. Bending, reaching, and lifting may be required for production required tasks. Schedule Full time. Regular office hours Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM. Estimated between 40 and 50 work hours per week. Travel Rarely. Some travel may be required for training.
