HR Manager - Manufacturing Site Weir ESCO Newton, MS Onsite most days with flexibility to work from home 1 day a week
Purpose of Role:
We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to serve as the sole HR leader for our manufacturing site in Newton, Mississippi. This role is ideal for a seasoned HR professional who values ownership, credibility with leaders, and meaningful impact, and who is comfortable balancing strategic partnership with hands-on execution. Reporting directly to the North America HR Director, this role operates within a transformed HR model that includes Centers of Excellence and centralized HR services handling day-to-day employee inquiries. What you will do:
HR Leadership & Site Partnership:
Serve as the trusted HR advisor to the site leadership team, acting as the sole HR leader on-site. Build strong relationships and provide credible, business-aligned guidance that supports both operational success and a positive employee experience.
Strategic Workforce & Talent Planning:
Translate business strategy into practical, forward-looking people plans by leading workforce and organizational strategy, talent planning, and capability development. Ensure the site has the right skills, structure, and leadership pipeline to meet current and future demands.
Employee Relations & Risk Management:
Own all aspects of employee relations, including investigations, issue resolution, and proactive risk identification. Deliver balanced, fair, and compliant solutions while fostering a culture of trust, accountability, and engagement.
Data-Driven Insights & Decision Making:
Leverage people data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities that inform business decisions. Partner with leaders to turn insights into actionable strategies that improve performance, retention, and overall workforce effectiveness.
Culture & Hands-On Execution:
Champion safety, wellbeing, and company values by maintaining a strong presence on the floor and engaging directly with employees. Balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, knowing when to lead at a high level and when to step in to drive outcomes.

What you will bring:
Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives above. Ideal candidate will have proven HR experience in shop floor environments, manufacturing or heavy industrial preferred Confidence operating independently as the only HR leader on site, working in matrix organization, business partnering with the site leadership team Experience working within an HR model supported by COEs / shared services Strong judgment, credibility, and practical problem-solving skills Why join Weir?
