Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Glass Fabrication Plant Manager to lead the daily operations of our glass fabrication facility. The Plant Manager will be responsible for production, safety, quality, maintenance, staffing, scheduling, and overall plant performance. The ideal candidate has strong manufacturing leadership experience, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to build a productive, safety-focused team. Key Responsibilities Oversee all daily plant and manufacturing operations Manage production schedules and ensure orders are completed on time Lead, train, and develop production and support employees Maintain a strong culture of workplace safety and OSHA compliance Monitor product quality and reduce scrap, waste, and rework Manage labor, materials, equipment, and operating costs Coordinate equipment maintenance with Maintenance Manager Monitor production KPIs, efficiency, downtime, and productivity Identify and implement process improvements Work closely with sales, purchasing, shipping, engineering, and customer-service teams Ensure products meet customer specifications and quality requirements Handle employee performance, staffing, scheduling, and attendance issues Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient manufacturing environment Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and operational planning Qualifications 5+ years of manufacturing or production-management experience Previous plant, production, or operations management experience preferred Glass fabrication experience strongly preferred Experience managing hourly production employees Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control Knowledge of workplace safety and OSHA requirements Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement is a plus Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment Ability to read and understand production specifications and drawings Experience with ERP/MRP systems preferred What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience Full-time, stable employment Health, dental, and vision benefits Paid time off Opportunities for advancement A leadership role with the ability to make a significant impact on plant performance
