Job Description

We are seeking a Production Manager for a local Manufacturer. In this position, you will work closely with the manufacturing operations to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and sustainability of the operations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Oversee Production Department activities focusing on Safe, Quality, Production. Create Goals, then Set/Review/Communicate performance data to measure results. Direct activities of the Production Team to meet weekly/monthly/quarterly goals. Coordinate work schedules to optimize productivity & control labor cost. Work closely with other departments (Maintenance, Quality, Logistics) to coordinate production activities. Establish or implement policies, goals, objectives, and procedures. Partner with Human Resources to provide guidance, counsel, promote, terminate, or administer disciplinary action as needed. Partner with Human Resources to conduct employee selection, training, & evaluation. Create/Review/Communicate operational improvement opportunities. Required Skills/Abilities Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Proficiency in MS Office and MRP systems Hands on approach and process involvement is key Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Tools/Techniques Working knowledge of ISO standards/practices High-Level of interpersonal skills An effective team player Effectively demonstrates integrity and accountability in the workplace Detail Oriented and able to multitask while staying focused on the big picture Fast Learner Takes Initiative without being told or micro-managed. Assertive and proactive Education & Desired Experience Bachelor's Degree or work experience equivalent 5+ years of production management experience

$70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
