Job Description
We are seeking an experienced RMEP Machining Director to be responsible for leading machining operations at the site. In this role, the RMEP Machining Director will be responsible for driving results, creating and monitoring measures, providing motivation to employees within the area of responsibility and setting expectations in safety, quality, delivery and cost. This is an onsite with flexibility located at our Rocky Mount Plant in NC. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: RMEP Machining Director will oversee all aspects of the machining area within the plant, a 3-shift operation. Oversee new machining line readiness and launch for new products Provides strategic leadership for manufacturing and supply chain operations by setting organizational direction, aligning team objectives with enterprise initiatives, and ensuring execution of annual operating plans, budgets, and resource strategies. Leads, develops, mentors, and coaches' talent to build organizational capability, strengthen succession pipelines, and drive high-performing teams across manufacturing and supply chain functions. Champions continuous improvement and operational excellence by leveraging the Cummins Operating System, Functional Excellence standards, common processes, tools, and information systems to improve business performance. Partners with internal and external stakeholders to build strong relationships, gain alignment on enterprise initiatives, and ensure customer, operational, and business requirements are effectively met. Monitors key performance indicators and operational trends to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, mitigate risks, and intervene as needed to resolve supply chain disruptions and performance challenges.
