Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Production Manager to oversee the production process, coordinating all production activities and operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence the manufacturing process directly and contribute to the company's success through proactive management and innovative problem-solving. Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Production Planning & Scheduling Develop and manage production schedules Ensure adequate staffing to meet production demands Monitor productivity and workflow efficiency Track production output against goals and budget Quality Management Implement and oversee quality control programs Monitor product quality standards Investigate and resolve production defects Ensure customer specifications are met consistently Equipment & Maintenance Coordinate preventive maintenance programs Assign and monitor maintenance activities Ensure equipment uptime and reliability Oversee warehouse and production equipment operations Materials & Inventory Management Ensure raw materials are available for scheduled jobs Coordinate with purchasing and inventory teams Minimize shortages and excess inventory Support efficient material utilization and waste reduction Cost Control & Continuous Improvement Monitor labor and production costs Reduce waste and inefficiencies Lead process improvement initiatives Supervisory Responsibilities Directly supervises production employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Experience Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred. 5-7 years of production management experience required; including people management skills. Previous experience in packaging and supply chain strongly preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates preferred. Must have project management experience Positive attitude and high energy demonstrates a sense of urgency Results driven individual who has demonstrated ability managing in a high-performance environment. Able to manage and execute multiple, complex tasks and deal easily with pressure on a daily basis. Able to motivate, communicate, and drive continuous improvement. Critical thinker with excellent analytical and problem solving abilities. Strong skills in budget development and oversight. Good understanding of business principles and practices. MS Office proficiency, specifically Excel Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize work, balancing multiple projects and deadlines. Proven ability to work in a team setting, leading and delegating work where appropriate. Commitment to safety and operational excellence
