Job Description
We are seeking a hands-on Plant Manager to lead day-to-day operations at a high-volume metals recycling and processing site. This role is responsible for driving operational performance, maintaining safety and compliance standards, and leading a team in a fast-paced, industrial/warehouse environment.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations including material receiving, processing, sampling, inventory control, and outbound shipments Drive workflow efficiency across a high-throughput recycling/processing operation, ensuring quality and production targets are met Monitor and improve production metrics, throughput, and material recovery performance Enforce compliance with OSHA, environmental, and company safety standards Lead safety programs, training, and audits to maintain a strong safety culture Supervise and develop warehouse, operations, and supervisory staff Partner with maintenance to implement process improvements and minimize downtime Manage labor, maintenance, and operating costs, identifying opportunities for efficiency gains Oversee inventory accuracy, reconciliation, and material tracking Coordinate logistics and ensure smooth inbound/outbound material flow Maintain documentation to support audits, compliance, and customer requirements Serve as the primary point of contact for site-level operationsQualifications:
5+ years of experience in metals recycling, scrap processing, manufacturing, or industrial warehouse operations Strong background in multi-step processing environments (sorting, grading, or material transformation) Experience leading teams in a hands-on, production-driven setting Knowledge of safety, environmental compliance, and workers' compensation processes Proven ability to manage inventory, logistics, and operational KPIs Forklift certification or ability to obtain For more information, please contact:Kate DiMatteo Direct:
