POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Production Manager is a key leadership role within the organization, responsible for overseeing and managing production activities to ensure efficient and effective execution of sales orders. The Production Manager is responsible for managing teams, executing OpEx strategies, improving processes and procedures, and driving overall team performance. The Production Manager works closely with the Director of Operations to set production goals, develop plans to achieve them, and monitor progress towards achieving these goals. They will also be responsible for identifying opportunities for process improvements, optimizing resources, and maximizing efficiency across the organization. The Production Manager foster a safe working environment and ensure that all shipments are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. In addition, the Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing the hiring and training of staff, providing leadership and direction to their teams, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. The incumbent will have excellent communication skills, strong leadership abilities, and a proven track record of delivering results in a complex, fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee day-to-day production activities at PGH to deliver monthly shipments. Establish production and quality control standards, develop budget, cost controls, and to obtain data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered. Ensure there are plans to achieve near-term (rolling 3-6months) shipments

Develop the capabilities of the teams to deliver high-performance (coaching, mentoring, leading by example, personal development) Drive operational improvement ideas and plans to better position the manufacturing team to efficiently deliver product to the customer.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

The Production Manager Should have more than 10 years of production (or related) experience, and have strong leadership skills to effectively manage teams, motivate employees, and drive performance.

Should have a deep understanding of production processes, methods, and strategies to ensure that all operations are running smoothly and efficiently.

Ability to drive continuous improvement plans and execute on OpEx strategy initiatives. Should have strong project management skills to manage the delivery of shipments, with agility and flexibility in response to change.

Should have excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with employees, stakeholders, and customers across all levels.

Should have strong analytical skills to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to deliver improved performance.

Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.

SUPERVISION

Direct oversite of all production personnel at the Pittsburgh facilities.

Prioritization of sales orders, materials, and workforce to ensure timely delivery and execution towards revenue goals.
