Production Manager Full Job Description Role and Responsibilities:
Responsible for supervising team leads and team members. Create a culture of personal responsibility, accountability, and continuous improvement in achieving the production schedule while improving safety, quality, and efficiency Planning and maintaining monthly, weekly, daily production schedule. Maintain Safety Program and utilizing problem solving methods. Manage team members work schedule, time off, and department allocation Develop and implement production scalability and workflow plans Implementation of new assembly processes and operations Initiate and facilitate problem solving groups to resolve issues to meet the current and future needs of the company Achieve quality and productivity metrics Partner with other Warehouse supervisors, Quality, and Final Integration Develop employee versatility plans Lead performance management process and make recommendations for compensation changes Manage disciplinary actions as required Prepare and maintain daily production reports Maintain internal housekeeping programs Flexibility to work in any area of the warehouse or warehouses, based on production needs
Skills and Experience:
High School Diploma required; Associates/Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred 5+ years' experience in a high-volume production role required with 3+ years of hands-on- leadership experience in a manufacturing/production environment Experience implementing production systems; scale up manufacturing, volume production, linear production using continuous improvement/TPS/Lean manufacturing methods Ability to understand and resolve 1st level issues on the floor with equipment, process, or manpower Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to establish effective cross-functional working relationships Superior communication skills (written, verbal, and active listening) Proficient skills in MS Office including Excel, Power Point and Word Highly motivated self-starter, capable of self-management with little to no oversight Willingness to adapt to change and learn new technical and computer skills
