Job Description

The Company:
IGE Performance Chemicals (IGE) is a chemical manufacturing and processing company located in Mountain Top, Pennsylvania. IGE has a chemical product R&D development team, which develops manufacturing processes in a lab for different specialty chemical products, starting with a pilot-scale manufacturing process and finishing with a medium-large scale production setup. Additionally, IGE has a production team consisting of 15 people, which performs synthesis and physical processing (grinding, blending, sieving, etc.) of specialty chemicals.
The Position:
The Plant Manager will work full-time in IGE's manufacturing facility in Mountain Top, Pennsylvania managing all production shifts. The Plant Manager will oversee all production operations, such as order processing, safety and environmental protocols, and ensure that all governmental regulatory standards as well as internal and customer standards are met. Additionally, the Plant Manager will coordinate, manage, and work in a hands-on capacity with plant operators to ensure timely, thorough, and safe work is performed throughout the plant. Moreover, the Production Manager will work directly and be in constant communication with the General Manager and Production Schedular. Responsibilities Manage production operations and personnel for the chemical plant Develop, maintain, and implement accident prevention, safety procedures and safety committee Monitor production processes and ensure that all standards are met Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with equipment and machinery and ensure Preventative Maintenance (PM) is scheduled Coordinate with suppliers to acquire and maintain needed raw materials Monitor and measure costs such as Overhead and Capital Expenditures. Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, and annual production reports Provide instruction, training, and guidance to Plant Operators Ensure that records are properly maintained and filed. Ensure safety, environmental and GMP standards are being met. Ensures that the necessary plant Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) are developed and that production employees have been trained to meet plant operations objectives. Work with ISO coordinator to update procedures, documentation, and ensure compliance Ensure compliance with all governmental agencies (OSHA, DEP, DEA, etc.) Qualifications 10+ years of Managerial or Supervisory experience and a proven track record of Project Management are required. Bachelor's degree in engineering or Business-related field is preferred. Experience in a GMP environment. Experience in Chemical manufacturing is preferred. Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service. Excellent verbal and written communication, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers. Well-organized, time efficient and effective communication. Proficient with Microsoft Office Must be a team player
Pay:
$110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
