Job Description

Environmental, Health & Safety Manager Greater Philadelphia Area | Chemical Manufacturing We are partnering with a global industrial manufacturing organization to identify an Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) Manager for a high-impact chemical manufacturing site in the Philadelphia area. This is a visible site role responsible for driving safety culture, regulatory compliance, and environmental performance in a complex operation handling chemical products and raw materials. The ideal candidate will have strong OSHA-based safety leadership experience in a manufacturing setting and a proven ability to influence plant leadership and frontline teams. Exposure to PSM and environmental compliance programs is a plus, but not a requirement. Why This Role? Lead EH&S strategy for a chemical manufacturing site High visibility with senior leadership Serve as primary liaison with regulatory agencies Drive a proactive, prevention-based safety culture Opportunity to elevate and modernize EH&S programs What You'll Own OSHA compliance, including Process Safety Management (PSM) Environmental programs (air, water, wastewater, stormwater, SPCC, hazardous waste) Emergency preparedness & response planning Incident investigations and root cause analysis Regulatory reporting and agency interface Safety culture engagement and workforce coaching Audit readiness and corrective action management What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or related field 3+ years of EH&S leadership experience in chemical or industrial manufacturing Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations; exposure to PSM and environmental programs is a plus Proven ability to influence plant leadership and frontline teams Collaborative mindset with the ability to partner cross-functionally across Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Corporate functions Comfortable working in a matrixed environment and building strong relationships with external regulatory agencies Strong communication and documentation skills Ability to operate independently while driving accountability across the site
