About the
Role:
As Kalmbach Feeds continues to grow, we are looking for passionate, hard-working team members that live our values and help us develop new ideas, serve customers, improve our processes, build teams, and realize our growth. The Plant Manager is responsible for the organizing and management of day-to-day activities for plant operations. In this role you will provide training and guidance to team members enabling them to meet performance standards. You will determine resource requirements, work allocation and production deadlines to achieve production objectives, also managing team members in achieving daily productions goals. In this position you will ensure materials, supplies and equipment are readily and continuously available for workers to carry out production process. Primary Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers expectationsIncrease production capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standardsBe an advocate for improving the safety cultureBe responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shippingAllocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal resultsEnsure plant compliance with company policies and government regulations.

Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focusMonitor operations and trigger corrective actionsRecruit, manage and develop team membersCollect and analyze data to find places of wasteLead continuous improvement initiatives throughout the plantFoster a continuous learning environmentCommit to plant safety proceduresDevelop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assetsStay up to date with latest production management best practices and concepts
The Right Candidate:
3+ years manufacturing management experience or extensive feed mill experience (10+ years)Bachelors degree in relevant field (engineering, business, agriculture)Ability to multi-task and work with multiple projects and tasksExtensive knowledge of Microsoft OfficeExperience at working independently and in a team-oriented environmentAbility to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environmentKnack for solving complex problemsReacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficientlyAbility to work and communicate with all levels of employeesExcellent written and oral communication skills.
