This position is responsible for overseeing production processes, ensuring safety, maintaining quality standards, and achieving productivity goals while fostering a positive and accountable work environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, manufacturing experience, and the ability to effectively manage personnel, production schedules, and continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Production Leadership Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to ensure efficient and effective operations. Lead production teams to meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity objectives. Monitor workflow and staffing levels to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime. Establish priorities and allocate resources to meet production schedules and customer demands. Ensure production goals are achieved while maintaining company quality standards. Employee Management & Development Train, coach, and develop production employees and team leaders. Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback to employees. Address attendance, performance, and disciplinary matters in accordance with company policies. Promote employee engagement, teamwork, and accountability throughout the department. Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new production personnel. Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Promote a culture of safety and actively participate in incident investigations and corrective actions. Conduct routine safety observations and address unsafe conditions or behaviors promptly. Ensure employees utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safe work practices. Quality & Continuous Improvement Monitor production quality and implement corrective actions when necessary. Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Operations teams to resolve production issues. Analyze production metrics and identify opportunities for process improvement. Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, waste reduction, and productivity. Ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality requirements. Equipment & Operations Management Oversee the operation and maintenance of production equipment and machinery. Coordinate equipment repairs and preventative maintenance activities. Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently. Work closely with Warehouse, Inventory, and Logistics teams to support production requirements. Utilize manufacturing systems, reports, and data to make informed operational decisions. Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED. Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience. Minimum of 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a production environment. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production scheduling, and workflow management. Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and employee development skills. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Preferred Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field. Experience in assembly, fabrication, metal manufacturing, or industrial production environments. Forklift certification or experience with material handling equipment. Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or 5S methodologies. Experience utilizing production reporting and performance metrics. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong leadership and team-building skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to analyze production data and make effective operational decisions. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of workplace safety regulations and best practices. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and manufacturing-related software systems. Ability to effectively resolve conflicts and manage employee performance. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk throughout the production facility for extended periods. Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Frequent movement throughout manufacturing and warehouse areas. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures. Work Environment Manufacturing production facility with moderate to high noise levels.
