Job Description
The Plant Manager is responsible for leading all day-to-day operations of the bakery manufacturing facility, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production of baked goods. This role oversees production, maintenance, sanitation, quality, and workforce management while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Lead overall plant operations including production, packaging, maintenance, sanitation, and warehouse functions Ensure consistent production of baked goods that meet quality, safety, and customer specifications Drive compliance with food safety standards (HACCP, GMP, FDA regulations) Manage production schedules to meet demand while minimizing downtime and waste Oversee equipment performance, maintenance planning, and troubleshooting activities Develop and manage plant budgets, labor costs, and operational KPIs Lead, train, and develop supervisors and production staff to build a strong workforce Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives Ensure workplace safety compliance and promote a strong safety culture Collaborate with supply chain, sales, and quality teams to ensure operational alignment Manage inventory control and raw material usage efficiency Identify and resolve operational issues quickly to minimize production disruption Qualifications Over 7-10 years of experience in food manufacturing, preferably bakery or consumer packaged goods (CPG) Over 3-5 years of leadership experience in plant or operations management Strong knowledge of bakery production processes, equipment, and food safety regulations Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement practices preferred Proven ability to lead large production teams in a high-volume environment Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills
Pay:
$110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per yearBenefits:
