A modified asphalt producer is seeking an experienced Asphalt Plant Manager to oversee operations at one Plant. Reporting directly to the Regional Manager, the Asphalt Plant Manager will be responsible for Modified Asphalt Production, Inventory Control, troubleshooting breakdowns, Scheduling production, Maintaining inventory, handling customer inquiries and other related tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot breakdowns and perform maintenance and repairs on the asphalt plant. Operate plant controls to ensure smooth and efficient production processes. Schedule production tasks and coordinate with crew leaders to meet production goals. Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure adequate stock levels. Provide maintenance reports on plant performance and recommend improvements. Interact with customers and address inquiries and concerns in a professional manner. Load dump trucks with asphalt materials according to specifications and safety protocols. Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations. Train and mentor plant operators and other team members as needed.
Key Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Plant/Terminal Manager Strong plant maintenance and repair experience, including troubleshooting skills. Proficiency in operating asphalt plant controls and related equipment. Skilled with Tank Transfers / Off-loading Railcars Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and effectively manage priorities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of environmental and safety regulations related to asphalt plant operations.
