About GEO Green Energy Origin (GEO), founded in Luxembourg in 2023 and backed by top-tier investors including Sequoia Capital, Sofina, and Temasek, is building a global platform for new energy materials and technology innovation. With eight manufacturing bases across Europe, North America, and Asia Pacific, GEO serves leading EV manufacturers and battery producers worldwide. Our product portfolio includes electrolyte manufacturing (1.2M tons/year capacity) and CNT slurry (300K tons/year capacity). Position Details Position Plant Manager Location Memphis, Tennessee, USA Reports To President, North America / Global Head of Operations Compensation Highly competitive, commensurate with experience Role Overview GEO's Memphis facility is a key manufacturing hub in our North American operations, producing electrolytes and CNT slurry for the global EV and energy storage supply chain. We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to provide full leadership over all plant operations - from production and quality to people and compliance - while driving continuous improvement and building a high-performing local team. Key Responsibilities Provide end-to-end leadership of plant operations including production scheduling, capacity management, quality assurance, and logistics coordination Set and execute annual plant targets across output, quality, cost, and on-time delivery KPIs Establish and maintain a rigorous EHS management system in compliance with OSHA and applicable U.S. regulations Lead local team recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management; foster effective China-U.S. team collaboration Serve as the primary liaison between the Memphis plant and GEO's global HQ in Germany and Asia Pacific headquarters in China Oversee equipment maintenance programs, process improvement initiatives, and capacity expansion planning Manage supplier relationships, raw material procurement, and inventory control Deliver regular operational performance reports and data-driven improvement recommendations to senior leadership Qualifications Bachelor's degree or above in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field 10+ years of experience in chemical, specialty chemical, or new energy materials manufacturing, including 5+ years in plant or operations management Background in lithium battery materials (electrolytes, CNT, cathode materials, etc.) strongly preferred Solid knowledge of U.S. plant operations regulations; hands-on EHS compliance experience required Prior experience managing operations within a Chinese-invested U.S. manufacturing facility is a strong advantage Bilingual (Mandarin/English) preferred; fluent English speakers are also welcome to apply Strong cross-cultural communication skills with the ability to bridge Chinese and American management styles Must have valid U.S. work authorization (Citizen / Green Card / Work Visa)
