The Manufacturing Manager will be a hands-on Leader that will guide and direct the activities of all manufacturing management functions inclusive of: CNC Machining, Finishing, Final Assembly, Tooling Stocking & Replenishment, Mfg Drawing & Router Creation and Facility Management. The Manufacturing Manager will be the Lead individual on the creation and execution of the operational plan for all "make" items. Key contributor in the liaising with CTL Amedica's Sales, Marketing, Product Management and Supply Chain Teams to ensure information management and delivery expectations provide Customers with a World Class experience. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, process-driven, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment. This individual will directly manage a team, oversee the quality and efficient output of manufacturing and play a key role in scaling operations as the company continues to grow exponentially Duties and Responsibilities Must have in depth experience and knowledge of CNC Machining processes utilizing Swiss, Mills, Lathes and Mill / Turning equipment Use Lean Manufacturing principles to decrease part lead times, to increase manufacturing productivity and efficiency, and utilize available resources effectively Work with Sales, Engineering, and Operations personnel to plan, schedule, and prioritize work orders Assist Machine Operators and other shop personnel with setting-up, operating, and troubleshooting as required Work with Operations Leadership to manage, direct, prioritize, and optimize post-machining processes including deburr, cleaning, passivation, anodization, laser marking, and assembly Troubleshoot equipment, machinery and systems and document and track failures Manage preventative and corrective maintenance of machine shop equipment Collaborate with the Supply Chain team on production planning and inventory control to meet customer demands while minimizing excess inventory. Define performance standards, review outcome of performance goals, and set future targets for Machine Operators and other shop personnel Work within established safety and quality standards Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and assist in tooling and process development Prepare production activity reports and report to management. Identify areas for improvement Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to manufacturing performance and implement improvements as needed. Ensure Facility & Equipment maintenance is performed that provides continuity of environment
Qualifications:
5+ years of Management / Leadership experience 5+ years of working in a CNC manufacturing environment Experience in medical devices, spine, orthopedic, or surgical industry strongly preferred Experience with process improvement frameworks like Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis and implement effective solutions. Strong leadership abilities with experience managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. Required Education Level:
Trade / Technical School graduate or relevant field. Experience may be utilized in lieu of education Job Status:
On Site, Full Time, Monday through Friday, Day Shift based in Dallas, Texas (no remote option) Fast-paced, operationally intensive environment requiring daily hands-on involvement Ability to lift and handle surgical instrument sets as needed Availability to respond to time-sensitive or urgent operational needs, and sometimes high pressure situations Weekend On-Call May be required Location:
