We are looking for a Plant Operations Manager to lead our Elgin, Texas facility. This is a unique opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives in a growing environment and wants to make a lasting impact on people, processes, and business performance. Position Summary The Plant Operations Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of facility operations, including production, employee leadership, process improvement, safety, quality, and operational performance. Reporting directly to the Owner, this individual will play a critical leadership role in developing scalable systems, building accountability across the workforce, and creating operational standards that support future company growth. The ideal candidate is a builder, coach, and problem-solver who can successfully balance strategic initiatives with day-to-day operational execution. What You'll Do Lead Plant Operations Oversee daily operations to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable production. Drive operational consistency, productivity, quality, and cost performance. Monitor key operational metrics and implement corrective actions as needed. Ensure production objectives are met while maintaining high standards of quality and customer service. Build Systems and Processes Evaluate current operations and identify opportunities for improvement. Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices. Create scalable systems and workflows that can be replicated across future facilities. Lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, reliability, and performance. Develop and Lead People Build a culture of accountability, ownership, and teamwork. Coach and develop employees to maximize performance and engagement. Set clear expectations and hold team members accountable to results. Foster a positive, safety-focused, and high-performing work environment. Drive Operational Excellence Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions that improve throughput and reliability. Improve equipment utilization, workflow efficiency, and resource allocation. Support ongoing capital projects and operational improvement efforts. Partner with ownership to identify opportunities for growth and expansion. Champion Safety Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the facility. Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. Lead safety training, incident prevention, and continuous safety improvement initiatives. What We're Looking For Qualifications 5+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing, industrial processing, mining, minerals, chemicals, building materials, aggregates, or related industries. Comfortable working in a hands-on leadership environment. Experience in industrial minerals, lime, mining, aggregates, specialty chemicals, cement, or related industries. Experience developing processes, systems, and operational standards. Experience supporting growth initiatives, new facilities, or operational expansion.
