Production Manager:
Fish Processing for Pet Food Fat-Cat Fish Company Bellingham, WA United States Full time, exempt, in person Description Fat-Cat Fish is hiring a seasoned, boots-on-the-ground Production Manager (PM) for our fish processing plant. The PM directs Shift Leads with oversite of 20+ Employees. The PM is responsible for scheduling production, using FIFO inventory control, to meet individual specifications for multiple customer orders. This position is accountable for implementation and enforcement of all Company Policies and Procedures including Production Protocol, SOP, HACCP, SSOP, Hazard and Injury Prevention Programs. Position Requirements
  • Hire/Fire train, motivate and hold crew members accountable for job performance
  • Highly driven team leadership skills
  • Strong Initiative with problem-solving skills
  • Cost Controls including lean manufacturing and labor time management
  • Professional communication skills with co-workers, suppliers and customers
  • Ability to lift up-to 50lbs., stand, walk and climb stairs for full shift
  • Oversee and manage plant production without supervision
Daily Responsibilities:
    SAFETY FIRST 24/7
    - Safety of the Employees and Food Safety of our Pet Food
    • Scheduling Production to Process Inventory and Complete Customer Orders
    • Preparing Production Schedules for Shift Leads
    • Enforcing Company Policy & Procedures
    • Weekly Safety Meetings & Training
    • Monitoring and Recording Inventory and Freezer Temperatures, Water Testing, Lab Samples
    • Pre and Post Operation Checklists
    • Oversite of on-going plant cleaning and
    Sanitization Job Information :
    Minimum Education :
    H.S.
    Diploma or Equivalent Minimum Experience:
    5+ Years - Fish or other Food Processing Desired Salary based on
