Job Description

Position Title:

The Welding Foremen is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our welding department which includes supervise welding activities, ensuring safety compliance, coordinating workflow, and maintaining quality standards. They manage a team of welders and ensure the completion of welding projects efficiently on time and within budget. Aspiring individuals with a leadership mindset are suitable for this profession.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Coordinate and supervise welding projects on job sites to ensure timely completion and quality workmanship Conduct safety checks and enforce safety protocols to maintain a hazard-free work environment Train and mentor welding team members to improve skills and productivity Manage inventory of welding materials and equipment to prevent delays in project execution Collaborate with project managers to plan and schedule welding tasks according to project timelines
Success Factors:
Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production operations and machinery. Excellent leadership skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize tasks. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to complete reports and logs.
Experience and Education:
5+ years of experience in welding and metal fabrication Proven leadership skills in managing a team of welders Strong understanding of welding techniques and safety protocols Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and project managers
Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications:
Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Residence Driver's License is required within two weeks of employment. Candidates must pass criminal and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background checks and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
