ABOUT THE ROLE
The Plant Foreman position requires hands-on involvement, in leadership and is responsible for overseeing daily plant operations, ensuring a safe work environment, coordinating crews, and supporting maintenance activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of plant processes, material gradation, equipment operation, and preventive maintenance. This position requires leadership, mechanical aptitude, attention to safety, and the ability to keep production running efficiently and continuously.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
Coordinate incoming crews and assign equipment effectively Conduct safety meetings and reinforce safe work practices Complete and update Field Risk Assessments (FRAs) as needed Lead crusher liner change-outs and maintenance activities Perform belt splicing and repairs Replace bearings and gearboxes as required Safely operate welding and cutting equipment (torch and welder) Change and maintain screen decks, including confined space entry when necessary Collaborate with safety personnel to ensure full compliance with regulations Maintain working knowledge of MSHA rules and standards Keep accurate and up-to-date maintenance records Coordinate with management to order parts and materials Proactively identify potential equipment failures and address issues early Work closely with management and maintenance teams to support continuous plant operations Operate mobile equipment as needed (loaders, dozers, excavators, haul trucks) Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Previous experience in this role or a similar position. Strong understanding of plant processes and operations. Thorough knowledge of equipment operation with a strong emphasis on safety and efficiency. Ability to communicate instructions clearly and effectively to employees. Solid understanding of company safety policies and procedures. Additional Requirements Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
