A Manufacturing Production Supervisor supervises workers and production schedules, monitors supplies, and oversees quality assurance at a manufacturing facility or plant.
We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee milk processing operations at a manufacturing facility in Tempe, AZ. The ideal candidate will have strong food manufacturing experience, with dairy experience strongly preferred, along with proven leadership, Lean Manufacturing, quality, safety, and production management skills.
Shift:
Hours 4 am - 12:30 pm Monday through Friday Must be open to Saturday work and overtime.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily production operations and ensure production schedules are met. Lead, supervise, and support production associates in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, food safety, quality, and safety standards. Monitor production processes, product quality, cleanliness, and sanitation requirements. Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching and development. Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback and corrective action when needed. Monitor raw materials and finished goods inventory and coordinate with supply chain teams. Identify opportunities for Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, waste reduction, and process optimization. Work closely with Quality, Maintenance, Logistics, and other cross-functional teams. Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions. Coordinate equipment maintenance activities to minimize production downtime. Maintain accurate production records, reports, and production metrics. Ensure compliance with applicable OSHA, FDA, USDA, EPA, HACCP, and GMP requirements.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required; college degree preferred. 2+ years of supervisory experience in food manufacturing/food production required. Dairy or milk processing experience strongly preferred. 1+ year of experience with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, or Continuous Improvement. Strong leadership experience managing a diverse workforce; union environment experience preferred. Experience with food safety, GMP, HACCP, and quality standards. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to work a 4:00 AM start time and be available for Saturday work and overtime as needed. Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. Must be legally authorized to work for an indefinite duration without requiring unlimited work authorization.
Pay:
