We are looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to join our team! The Production Supervisor Responsible for the execution of production plans, including blending, pasteurization, bottling and packaging, meeting product specifications, quality standards, yield and efficiency targets while developing effective and motivated teams. Role:
At the start of the shift, using the bottling production plan, develop and communicate a bottling strategy for the shift as well as a blending plan, assigning duties and schedule through Team Leaders. Continuously monitor bottling and blending progress to plan, identify constraints and agree to action plans through Team Leaders and support functions. Regularly throughout each day communicate with Receiving, Maintenance, Planning and QA to align corrective action, strategies and corrective actions. Develop Team Members, building competent and motivated teams to meet department objectives. Lead continuous improvement initiatives in both bottling and blending. Maintains up-to-date process documentation. Regularly participates in developing and reviewing SOPs, including participation in daily SOP training in the pre-shift stand up meetings. Performs daily review and approval of the employee time and attendance system. Leads process improvement efforts for the production operation and other related processes. Maintain safety and quality related training of all team members up to date and document. Identify additional training requirements and arrange for training. Ensures that employees follow all company policies and procedures, including GMPs, and all Safety and Quality requirements. Maintain GMP and sanitation standards in areas of accountability. Follows all company policies and procedures regarding GMPs, SOPs and Quality standards. Other duties as assigned or required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly leads employees in the Production Department. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, terminating, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Education:
High school diploma or GED required. Associates degree preferred.
Experience:
Food or beverage production experience in a leadership role required. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Foreign language skills, particularly Spanish, required.
Reasoning:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Manufacturing software; and general email writing and online research skills. This position is performed in manufacturing environment. There may be exposure to noise, work near moving mechanical parts and forklifts, citrus fumes or airborne particles, and outdoor weather conditions. The employee may be required to stand, walk and sit for long periods at a time, wear the proper protective equipment as required, climb a ladder or stairs, hear and communicate readily, use both hands and arms. Use of telephone, cell phones, a computer, copier, and other office equipment will be required.
