Full-Time Job Summary Are you a hands-on leader with extrusion manufacturing experience who thrives in a fast-paced production environment? Pauley Plastic, LLC is seeking an Extrusion Operations Supervisor to lead daily warehouse and extrusion operations while driving safety, quality, productivity, and employee development. This role is ideal for a motivated leader who can effectively manage people, troubleshoot production challenges, and contribute directly to operational success. The ideal candidate has experience with extrusion manufacturing, warehouse operations, team leadership, and continuous improvement initiatives. This individual leads by example, takes ownership of production goals, and has the ability to step into operational roles when needed to support the team and ensure success. Essential Responsibilities and Functions Leadership & Team Development Take ownership of shift performance by driving safety, quality, productivity, employee engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives. Lead, supervise, train, and develop warehouse and production employees. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and operational excellence. Conduct employee coaching, performance discussions, and ongoing training. Lead by example through a hands-on management style and positive attitude. Delegate responsibilities effectively while maintaining production priorities and team accountability. Demonstrate a commitment to personal and professional growth by participating in training opportunities and staying current with industry best practices. Extrusion Operations Lead and supervise daily extrusion line operations, including startup, shutdown, setup, changeovers, and color matching. Monitor production output and ensure products consistently meet customer specifications and quality standards. Troubleshoot equipment, process, and material issues to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. Monitor machine performance and coordinate preventive maintenance and repair activities. Collaborate with maintenance personnel to ensure equipment reliability and operational efficiency. Identify opportunities for process improvements, waste reduction, and increased production efficiency. Warehouse Operations Oversee shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material handling activities. Ensure incoming materials are accurately received, inspected, and documented. Coordinate warehouse workflow to support production schedules and customer delivery requirements. Maintain inventory accuracy. Supervise loading and unloading of freight while ensuring safe material handling procedures. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment as necessary. Safety & Quality Enforce all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and quality control procedures. Promote and maintain a strong safety culture throughout the facility. Monitor product quality and implement corrective actions when quality concerns arise. Report and investigate safety incidents, equipment malfunctions, and operational concerns. Additional Responsibilities Assist with pallet construction and maintenance using power tools as needed. Support grinding and recycling operations when required. Maintain accurate production, inventory, and operational records. Perform other duties as assigned to support production and warehouse operations. Qualifications Required Qualifications Minimum 3 years of manufacturing supervisory or leadership experience. Minimum 2 years of extrusion manufacturing experience. Strong leadership, communication, and employee development skills. Experience managing production schedules, workflows, and operational priorities. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify and resolve production issues. Experience with warehouse operations, inventory management, shipping, and receiving. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience in PVC, profile extrusion, plastics manufacturing, or related industries. Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification. Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or similar operational excellence programs. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. Exposure to noise, dust, temperature fluctuations, and moving mechanical parts in a manufacturing environment. Visual acuity necessary to read instructions, inspect products, operate machinery, and monitor production quality. Ability to wear and properly utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE). Education & Experience Manufacturing leadership experience required. Extrusion manufacturing experience strongly preferred. Additional technical training or manufacturing certifications are a plus. Work Environment Manufacturing and warehouse environment with exposure to industrial equipment and machinery. Non-climate-controlled facility with varying temperatures. Fast-paced operation requiring collaboration with production, warehouse, maintenance, quality, and management teams.
