SUMMARY The CNC Supervisor is a working supervisor. Duties includes program creation, verification of 3D models and designs based on technical specifications for fabrication purposes, ensuring that dimensions and tolerances of a finished work piece are met through the sequencing of operations, setups, while maintaining accurate records of tools required to keep production flowing. The duties as a supervisor include assigning work, ordering supplies for department, reviewing and confirming that programs, set-ups, and work orders are followed, ensuring maintenance of department's equipment is completed, and assists Director in coaching, mentoring, and training personnel. In addition, the CNC Supervisor reviews and advises on personnel performance evaluation. The CNC Lead will advise on tooling and machine needs. CNC Supervisor will utilize SolidWorks, ESPRIT, ProShop, and MS products to complete work.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality Departments with the development of 3D models and designs based on technical specifications for fabrication purposes to achieve the required dimensions and tolerances of a finished work piece, sequence / operations, setup
• Work with customer drawings and models and convert as needed to manufacturing drawings and models
• Develop and verify tool path strategies and approaches for producing metal parts. Coordinate with engineering and shop floor on existing fixture/tool designs or create new concepts and provide detail models and drawings as required for fabrication. Create tool lists, setup sheets and other documentation required for programs.
• Proficient using hand measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gages, optical comparator, etc.) in order to apply the principles of GD&T for drawing/model interpretation and acceptance activities.
• Provide feedback on the quality aspects of parts and assemblies to Engineering and Quality
• Interact with machinists for communicating fabrication and inspection results Programs and utilizes engineering software such as SolidWorks and ESPRIT Writes CNC programs with cost-effective and productive algorithms that will maximize machine utilization; may be required to update and optimize existing CNC programs; Responsible for updating and maintaining program files per departmental procedure and/ or work instructions; Observe and follow Company's Policies EDUCATION and/or

EXPERIENCE

Combination of applicable education, certification, experience, proven skills, and/or work history providing the required skill and knowledge for successful job performance will be considered. Minimum 5 years experience CNC programming and GD&T, with ability to read drawings.

COMPUTER

Above average knowledge of computers, Microsoft Office. Expert knowledge of Solidworks and

ESPRIT. LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
