Job Description
Production SupervisorAbout the CompanyWe are a fast-growing consumer wellness and personal care manufacturer known for producing natural, plant-based products with a strong focus on quality, safety, and sustainability. Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations on the manufacturing floor, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production. The ideal candidate will combine hands-on production and manufacturing expertise with strong supervisory skills to meet output targets, maintain quality standards, and drive continuous improvement. Experience working with packaged goods, nutraceuticals, pharmaceuticals, personal care or food products is a plus.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet production schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Lead, train, and mentor production staff; schedule shifts and assign tasks to achieve operational objectives.
Monitor manufacturing processes and equipment performance; work with maintenance to minimize downtime and resolve mechanical issues.
Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), hygiene, and safety protocols; conduct regular safety audits and incident investigations.
Implement and sustain quality control procedures; collaborate with Quality Assurance to address non-conformances and corrective actions.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives (lean, 5S, Kaizen) to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve throughput.
Maintain production documentation, perform production reporting, and analyze key performance indicators (OEE, yield, scrap).Coordinate with supply chain, packaging, and labelling teams to ensure on-time delivery of finished goods.
Support new product introductions and changes to manufacturing processes, and participate in cross-functional improvement projects.
QualificationsMinimum 3-5 years of hands-on production or manufacturing experience, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
Proven knowledge of production processes, quality systems, and safety regulations; experience in packaged goods, nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, food, or personal care manufacturing preferred.
Strong leadership and people-management skills with experience coaching teams, scheduling, and performance management.
Familiarity with maintenance practices and coordinating with maintenance teams to troubleshoot equipment issues.
Experience with quality programs (GMP, HACCP, ISO) and continuous improvement tools (Lean, 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma) desired.
Effective communication skills in English; Spanish language skills or bilingual ability are a strong plus.
Comfortable working in fast-paced, regulated environments and handling multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
Proficient with production reporting and basic data analysis; experience with manufacturing execution systems (MES) or ERP systems is an advantage.
