Job Description

Job Overview The Production Supervisor's primary responsibility is to lead, and coordinate activities of employees engaged in the manufacturing process. The Supervisor trains, instructs, coaches and supervises subordinates within the established production standards and goals set forth by the company. This individual will assign work, procure supplies and parts and communicate manufacturing demands to team members, as well as performs safety, quality and maintenance requests and audits. Skill Set & Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory/management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with 5S and continuous improvement practices
  • Experience with AS9100 and aerospace industry requirements
  • Ability to read blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization as well as with customers
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of management and employees.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented; with excellent time management skills
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Fluent and effective in English written and verbal communications, bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)
  • Directly supervises production employees.
Responsibilities include; new employee orientation, training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; issuing discipline in accordance with Company policy and escalating performance, code of conduct or safety infractions to production manager.
  • Know and execute PAS Management system procedures
  • Provides a safe work environment and ensures all safety and environmental policies are being followed.
  • Implementation and adherence of all departmental policies and procedures and addresses any non-compliance issues immediately.
  • Establishes daily, weekly, monthly production targets production planning provides.
  • Collects and maintains data and metrics on daily management boards and provides Production Manager with corrective actions needed when production targets are not being met.
  • Reviews and distributes production orders to meet productions schedule, quantities, and specifications of products for delivery. Ensures production priorities are staged in work centers with flow coordination and adherence of dispatch reports and critical priority lists.
  • Assists production manager to resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
  • Collaborates with Program Managers, engineering, and maintenance to ensure project completion by deadlines.
  • Provides critical support as needed in other departments throughout the organization.
  • Audits workers and processes to ensure compliance with standards and provides feedback to employees and production manager.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands and Work Environment Occasional computer work for 4-6 hours per day may be required. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

$40.00 per hour
