This role offers an approximate 12-month assignment with opportunities for long-term integration into either location or a potential relocation to Houston based on performance. The Production Supervisor is a member of the Manufacturing Production Team. They will lead the development, implementation and application of Tesla's Production System. The ideal candidate has a proven record of success in the implementation and application of production systems in a manufacturing environment. They must have a broad background with the ability to work with engineering, production associates, quality, and suppliers across a wide variety of issues/ corrective actions identified in production and field performance. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are an absolute requirement to establish effective working relationships within Tesla and outside. The successful candidate for this position takes pride in their hands-on and analytical abilities, organizational skills and attention to detail. What You'll Do Develop & maintain Standardized Work Instructions used in production by the production associates Support the development of Process Failure Modes Effects Analysis (PFMEA) to identify critical risks in the production processes with Manufacturing Process Engineers Develop training programs and hire plans for production associates Support of control plans to ensure critical features are controlled through the production process Manage production associates and develop the team structures used in the Tesla Factory Support issue resolution including root cause investigation & corrective action tracking Ensure quality standards are met throughout the entire production process and support no defects from leaving a station or team area What You'll Bring Experience managing teams of people in a production environment and hiring in and developing new team members in a production environment Experience in new product development and launch activities Experience with broad variety of measurement and inspection techniques Ability to work with and develop production performance metrics (efficiency, quality, safety, throughput, costs) Able to work well under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines Remain engaged, proactive and positive in tough circumstances, owning assignments and taking full accountability for their success Compensation and Benefits Benefits Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire: Medical plans > plan options with $0 payroll deduction Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans, both have options with a $0 paycheck contribution Company Paid (Health Savings Accounts) HSA Contribution when enrolled in the High-Deductible medical plan with HSA Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) 401(k) with employer match, Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and other financial benefits Company paid Basic Life, AD&D Short-term and long-term disability insurance (90 day waiting period) Employee Assistance Program Sick and Vacation time (Flex time for salary positions, Accrued hours for Hourly positions), and Paid Holidays Back-up childcare and parenting support resources Voluntary benefits to include: critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident insurance, theft & legal services, and pet insurance Weight Loss and Tobacco Cessation Programs Tesla Babies program Commuter benefits Employee discounts and perks program Expected Compensation $96,000 - $144,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
