Job Description
Job Summary AppleOne is seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor 2nd Shift for a direct hire opportunity in Hanford, CA within the food and beverage production industry. This role provides leadership across cheese and yogurt production, packaging, whey processing, and drying operations. The Production Supervisor will lead production teams, support daily operational goals, and help drive performance in cost, quality, safety, productivity, and employee engagement. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily 2nd shift production activities across cheese and yogurt production, packaging, whey processing, and drying operations.
- Plan, assign, direct, and monitor production work to maximize labor, equipment, and material efficiency.
- Communicate daily production goals, expectations, priorities, and performance standards to shift employees.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA requirements, GMPs, HACCP, FSMA, and
FSSC 22000
food safety standards.- Coordinate with Logistics to support production schedules, order fulfillment, and customer delivery timelines.
- Partner with Maintenance to identify equipment issues, submit work orders, and support preventative and corrective maintenance activities. Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $75,000 to $89,000 per year.

- Lead 2nd shift production operations across cheese, yogurt, packaging, whey processing, and drying areas.
- Manage daily production schedules, staffing assignments, and shift productivity goals.
- Support food safety, quality, cost control, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with Logistics and Maintenance to reduce downtime and meet production commitments.
- 3 to 5 years of production supervision or related leadership experience in manufacturing, food production, or a similar processing environment.
- Strong knowledge of production operations, labor planning, shift scheduling, and manufacturing performance metrics.
- Familiarity with GMPs, HACCP, FSMA, OSHA requirements, and food safety compliance standards.
- Ability to lead, coach, and hold production employees accountable in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to identify equipment or process issues and work collaboratively with Maintenance and operations teams to resolve them.
- Commitment to safety, quality, continuous improvement, and positive employee engagement. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in cheese, yogurt, dairy, whey processing, drying, or food and beverage production environments.
- Experience working in an
FSSC 22000
certified facility.- Background supporting preventative maintenance planning, downtime reduction, or continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills are a plus.
