We are seeking a motivated and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee our production operations. The ideal candidate will ensure that our production processes run smoothly and efficiently, maintaining high standards of product quality and workplace safety. This role requires strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to optimize production procedures.
Job Duties:
Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures. Maintains staff by training employees and developing personal growth opportunities. Responsible for conducting the New Employee Orientation. Maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments. Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries. Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing company standards. Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs, evaluating new equipment and techniques. Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data, answering questions and responding to requests. Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, budgetary and personnel requirements, implementing change when necessary. Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures. Responsible for quality control. Adjust as necessary during shift to produce product within specifications. Reject product outside specifications. Operate within standard operating procedures (SOP's) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's). Communicate with other Shift Supervisors, Production Managers and Management. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Completes shift paperwork. Must be able to utilize the companies programs and be computer Literate. Assist in production as necessary. Report all injuries/absentees. Report any schedule changes. Manage the workflow and can problem solve. Give Pass downs. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a leader or similar role in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of production processes and safety standards. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with production management software. High school diploma or equivalent; degree in industrial management, logistics, or related field preferred.
