Job Description
Production Supervisor Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations and ensure production goals are achieved safely, efficiently, and with the highest quality standards. This role is responsible for supervising production team members, driving continuous improvement initiatives, maintaining food safety standards, and fostering a positive, high-performance work environment. Key Responsibilities Lead and support production team members in executing daily production plans while meeting quality, productivity, and cost objectives. Monitor daily operations and production performance to ensure established standards and targets are achieved. Identify operational issues, production bottlenecks, and inefficiencies, then lead structured problem-solving efforts to implement effective solutions. Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to support employee growth and development. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, plant regulations, and food safety requirements. Support sanitation and operational activities to maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe manufacturing environment. Promote a culture of safety by supporting plant and company safety initiatives and ensuring adherence to all safety regulations. Assist in developing daily production plans and driving successful execution of line performance goals. Implement and sustain standard work practices to improve operational consistency and efficiency. Lead shift handoff meetings to ensure clear communication, continuity, and alignment between shifts. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes, productivity, and overall operational performance. Qualifications Required Skills & Experience Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to motivate, coach, and develop employees in a fast-paced production environment. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field. 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience working in food processing or food manufacturing is highly preferred. Knowledge of continuous improvement practices, production metrics, and quality systems.
