Our business model focuses on providing customers with paperboard sheets in the size and quantity they require, utilizing a just-in-time service model. Our headquarters and primary manufacturing facility in located in Rancho Cucamonga where we service customers throughout California as well as parts of Nevada and Arizona. We also operate a facility in Atlanta, GA for our customer base throughout the Southeast US. We have an immediate opening for a production supervisor overseeing the second shift at our Rancho Cucamonga location. Our Compensation and Benefits Reporting to our Plant Manager, this is a full-time position with a schedule of 3pm to 11 pm, Monday through Friday. There will be an undetermined amount of overtime associated with this position. The starting wage will be $25.00 per hour with benefits including medical, dental, paid holidays and vacation available after a 90-day probationary period. Responsibilities and Duties Overview Supervise approximately eleven employees across the production, shipping and material handling functions while maintaining a culture of safety, productivity, and accountability.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the second shift production crew in a manner consistent with company values of safety, customer focus, and continuous improvement. Work directly with Safety Coordinator on all aspects of training, including awareness, best practice sharing. Drive compliance with production schedule to ensure all customer commitments, including quality, quantity, and on-time delivery, are met. Cross-train each crew member in at least one additional function to maintain production schedule flexibility. Obtain a thorough knowledge of all processes and production assets, with an emphasis on sheeting equipment. Resolve problems (quality, equipment, personnel, etc.) quickly and report/document each incident to Director of Operations. Prior to the end of each shift, ensure all trucks are loaded in accordance with planned delivery sequence. Expectations Crews are effectively managed to safely operate the facility at productivity rates that allow customer commitments to be met. Production processes are performed according to established expectations of safety, quality, cost and productivity. Documentation of every production order is completed in a timely and accurate manner utilizing company ERP system. Qualifications General knowledge of various equipment utilized in the facility. Ability to effectively manage and communicate with people Possess a customer-focused attitude. Experience in paper and/or paperboard converting is a plus.
