•$150,000 per year A bit about us: we are a Tier 1 aerospace supplier building highly engineered, flight-critical components and complex assemblies for military, rotorcraft, and space applications. Our work includes proprietary tanks for fixed-wing and space platforms, extendable refueling probes, landing gear, airframe structures, and composites, along with machining of life-limited parts for main rotor and power transmission systems. •real authority over staffing, scheduling, and process improvement, not a layer of middle management Long-standing flight-critical programs with prime contractors and military customers, giving the floor a stable, repeat production base Growth and professional development across a multi-site aerospace group Job Details You will own daily production supervision on a floor producing flight-critical machined parts, structures, and complex assemblies for military, rotorcraft, and space customers, with responsibility for the people, the schedule, and the cost and quality performance of the work. Hire, train, schedule, and develop shop personnel; conduct timely performance evaluations and handle discipline in line with company policy. Own daily workflow and department scheduling to hit on-time job starts and completions, and control production conditions to meet customer quality and delivery requirements. Partner with engineering to drive cost and quality improvements into manufacturing processes, and act as an advisory member of the product development team on manufacturability and cost. Track and report weekly performance metrics for both people and processes, and maintain an up-to-date visual factory with status boards and shop floor visual controls. Drive a safe, clean, organized facility using 6S principles, and collaborate across departments to secure the resources, supplies, and job materials needed to keep production moving.
Looking for:
3+ years of experience as a production supervisor, manufacturing manager, or similar role in a manufacturing environment Strong working knowledge of the manufacturing processes you will be managing, with the ability to control cost, quality, and delivery on the floor Demonstrated supervisory and leadership skills, including hiring, training, performance management, and safety Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; ERP experience required, Epicor strongly preferred Must be comfortable in a shop floor environment (noise, machinery, forklift traffic, sharp materials) and able to lift up to 25 lbs at times Experience in any of the following areas welcomed: CNC machining and precision machined components Airframe structures, composites, or complex mechanical assemblies Rotorcraft main rotor or power transmission components Fuel tanks, pressure vessels, or aerial refueling hardware Lean, 6S, continuous improvement, or visual factory implementation AS9100 or Nadcap regulated production environments Interested in hearing more?
