Act as a bridge between management and floor staff, training employees, troubleshooting equipment, and driving process improvements (e.g., Lean, 5S).
Key Responsibilities Production Coordination:
Scheduling, prioritizing, and overseeing daily production activities to meet deadlines.
Leadership & Training:
Mentoring staff, assigning tasks, training new hires on SOPs, and coaching new hires.
Quality & Safety Control:
Monitoring products to ensure quality specifications are met, enforcing safety protocols, and ensuring a safe, organized workspace.
Equipment & Processes:
Coordinating equipment setup, conducting troubleshooting, and implementing process improvements.
Reporting & Documentation:
Maintaining inventory, documenting daily production logs, and reporting performance metrics to management.
Problem-Solving:
Ability to troubleshoot and quickly resolve production issues.
Skills and Qualifications Leadership:
Strong ability to motivate teams, resolve conflicts, and foster a positive work culture.
Technical Knowledge:
Familiarity with manufacturing processes, equipment operations, and Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
Organization:
Excellent time management and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or GED and 2-5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production setting.
Software Proficiency:
Basic to advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and ERP/inventory systems. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time. Capability to lift and move objects typically ranging from 25 to 50 pounds . Dexterity and vision abilities to inspect products for small defects. Ability to work in cold (34 F - 40 F) environment.
