We are presently seeking a Production Planning Supervisor who be responsible for supervising and coordinating production planning activities for optical components and systems. Supervise and lead the production planning team for optical manufacturing operations (e.g., lenses, mirrors, coatings, assemblies) Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer orders, forecasts, and capacity constraints Coordinate material requirements planning (MRP) to ensure availability of raw materials and components Monitor production progress and adjust plans to address delays, equipment issues, or supply disruptions Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to ensure compliance with optical specifications and tolerances Optimize workflow, capacity utilization, and throughput in high-precision manufacturing processes Analyze production data and KPIs (on-time delivery, cycle time, yield, WIP levels) to identify improvement opportunities Implement continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma) to enhance efficiency and reduce waste Communicate production status, risks, and mitigation plans to management and stakeholders Train, mentor, and evaluate planning team members Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards Other duties as assigned Requirements 3-5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations At least 1-2 years of direct supervisory or team leadership experience Experience working in a manufacturing environment Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems, SAP a plus Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar data tools Benefits start day 1: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Holiday Pay, PAID Maternity/Paternity leave, Tuition Reimbursement, Long-term and Short-term disability.
Pay Range:
