Job Description

Production Supervisor We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead production and distribution operations within a high-volume food manufacturing environment. This leadership role is responsible for driving safety, quality, productivity, employee development, and operational excellence while ensuring all production goals and customer expectations are met.

AM Every Other Wednesday Rotating Schedule:
48 Hours / 36 Hours Day Shift 6:00 AM or 7:00 AM Start Finish between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, experience managing teams in a manufacturing setting, and a commitment to continuous improvement, food safety, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop hourly production and distribution team members. Promote and enforce all workplace safety policies, procedures, and initiatives. Conduct routine safety observations and support a culture focused on workplace safety. Ensure adherence to food safety, sanitation, and GMP requirements. Monitor product quality and maintain compliance with company and regulatory standards. Drive productivity, efficiency, and cost control efforts within assigned departments. Develop staffing plans and employee schedules to meet operational demands. Complete performance evaluations and support employee development initiatives. Lead team meetings, communicate department goals, and track progress through performance metrics. Maintain department readiness for safety, sanitation, and regulatory inspections. Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new employees. Partner with Human Resources to address performance concerns and employee relations matters. Collaborate with plant leadership and cross-functional teams to achieve operational objectives. Complete daily production reporting, inventory tracking, and operational documentation. Support continuous improvement initiatives across production and distribution operations. Ensure compliance with food safety and quality management systems. Serve as a key member of the facility leadership team and provide operational support as needed. Perform additional duties assigned by plant management. Qualifications Previous supervisory or leadership experience in manufacturing, food production, distribution, or warehouse operations. Strong understanding of safety programs, quality systems, and operational best practices. Experience managing employee performance, scheduling, and workforce development. Ability to analyze production metrics and drive continuous improvement efforts. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with production reporting and inventory management processes. Knowledge of GMP, food safety, and sanitation requirements preferred. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, nights, and extended shifts as needed. Ability to become qualified under Preventive Controls for Human Food requirements.
