What You'll Lead Oversee all plumbing fabrication and prefabrication operations, maintaining a safe, organized, and highly productive shop environment. Drive continuous improvement across production processes, quality standards, workflow efficiencies, and shop performance. Read drawings like a story. Anticipate scope changes, identify potential conflicts, and ensure production stays ahead of project schedules. Lead the planning, fabrication, bundling, staging, and shipment of plumbing materials, assemblies, and prefabricated components. Coordinate delivery schedules and logistics with transportation partners to support field operations and project milestones. Ensure labor hours, productivity metrics, and timecard allocations are accurate and aligned with project budgets. Partner closely with VDC, detailing, and engineering teams to ensure work packages transition seamlessly from design into production. Collaborate with Project Managers, Operations Leaders, Schedulers, and field teams to drive schedule adherence and project success. Maintain high standards for quality control, ensuring all fabricated products meet RK and client expectations. Lead workforce planning efforts, balancing manpower, production needs, shop capacity, and project demands. Support recruiting, hiring, onboarding, performance management, and employee development initiatives within the shop. Mentor and develop Foremen, Leads, and craft professionals, helping build the next generation of shop leadership. Champion RK's safety culture and hold teams accountable for maintaining a world-class safety record. What You Bring 7+ years of plumbing fabrication, prefabrication, or shop operations experience, preferably in commercial and industrial construction environments. Proven experience leading shop teams, production crews, and frontline leaders in a fast-paced manufacturing or fabrication setting. Advanced knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, fabrication processes, and installation methods. Strong understanding of labor planning, scheduling, productivity management, quality control, and operational execution. Ability to interpret construction drawings, fabrication documents, specifications, and shop drawings with a high degree of accuracy. Experience coordinating with VDC, detailing, engineering, and project management teams. Strong leadership presence with the ability to motivate teams, solve problems, and drive accountability. Excellent organizational, communication, and decision-making skills. Demonstrated success developing people, building teams, and creating a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
