Role Overview:
This position significantly impacts the performance of Production Work Teams by providing teams with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely produce quality products in a timely and cost-effective manner. Quality/timely/cost-effective products result in customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Leads production teams in meeting QDC cell objectives through the use of the Angel Armor Lean Tools. Tracks each team's achievement of Standard Work and ensures the team records all improvement opportunities. Responsible for driving data-driven action plans to improve standard Work & QDC performance. Works with area planning staff to evaluate customer orders versus available labor and materials to develop a weekly and daily build plan. Closely monitors weekly and daily build plans to meet on-time-delivery objectives Ensures area associates are multi-skilled through appropriate training in order to provide maximum agility to Operations. Enlists all associates in the commitment to excellence by communicating appropriate business information in a timely manner. Acts as liaison between associates and the Director of Operations. Creates and executes Strat Op action plans through all areas of responsibility by using the Angle Armor Lean tools, Budget reports, and short and long-term company goals. Assists in the Development and Monitoring of Area Budgets Ensures all associates are knowledgeable of and comply with all work policies. Works with technical staff to pursue process improvement activities Evaluate associates' performance and conduct reviews. Recommends hiring and termination. Coaches, trains, and counsels associates to improve performance. Works closely with HR Dept. to resolve issues resulting from unacceptable associate's behavior. Other duties as assigned.
