Job Description

RMB Products is seeking a Production Supervisor in the Laser Sintering department who will be responsible for directly supervising and coordinating the activities of employees within the Laser Sintering Department, including machine operations, post-processing, and finishing. The Supervisor also provides hands-on technical support for laser sintering operations, including preparing and operating sinter stations, troubleshooting equipment and process issues, and ensuring adherence to work instructions, specifications, and customer requirements. Essential Functions and Responsibilities This position includes the following essential functions but is not limited to them.
Additional duties may be assigned:
Direct the daily activities of assigned employees through effective work assignments to meet production schedules and customer requirements. Provide guidance, instruction, and training to ensure quality products are produced safely and efficiently. Provide technical guidance to the Engineering and Sales Departments regarding Value Stream products. Ensure Value Stream objectives are met regarding on-time delivery and quality. Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and the appropriate use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, respirators, and other required equipment. Participate in continuous improvement activities, Lean initiatives, 5S, and other operational improvement efforts. Ensure all documentation related to work performed within the Value Stream is accurate and completed in a timely manner. Hire, coach, review, supervise, and terminate assigned employees, or provide effective recommendations regarding the employment status of assigned employees. Maintain time, payroll, and material records as required. Ensure all work is performed in accordance with applicable drawings, specifications, work instructions, and procedures. Collaborate with other departments to identify and resolve production and quality issues. Maintain and report accurate daily revenue forecasts and provide senior leadership with frequent updates regarding Value Stream performance. Laser Sintering Operations Oversee and, as needed, perform Laser Sintering operations, including but not limited to: Preparation and operation of sinter stations, including cleaning, setup, and process verification. Monitoring and calibration of laser systems and sensors. Verification of nitrogen and coolant systems. Powder material handling, including weighing, sifting, blending, and loading. Oversight of build execution and break-out processes. Documentation of build conditions and production information. Troubleshooting equipment and process issues as needed. Post-Processing & Finishing Oversee and support post-processing activities, including: Blasting Sanding Sealing Bonding Assembly Inspection Testing Oversee finishing operations, including: Part preparation Priming Painting Verification of workmanship standards Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred. Minimum of two years of supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment preferred. Laser Sintering experience is preferred. Required Skills Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and customer specifications. Knowledge of a variety of materials, including composites, metals, and plastics. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Advanced Excel. Experience with Visual Manufacturing Software is a plus. Ability to work on-site in a plant/warehouse environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Demonstrated commitment to excellent safety practices, including maintaining a clean and organized work area. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Ability to effectively process and respond to changes through RMB feedback and review processes. Strong personal responsibility and accountability for meeting workmanship standards with minimal supervision. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines. Ability to maintain the confidentiality of all RMB Products projects, customers, and proprietary techniques.
