A Production Shift Supervisor oversees employees working on multiple production lines. Assigns tasks and adjusts workloads to meet production goals, schedules and monitors training and assess progress of the employees, monitors production quality and uses leadership skills to solve problems with employees.
We are seeking a talented and dedicated Production Supervisor to lead our 1st Shift Production Assembly team in Danbury, CT. In this role, you will oversee daily manufacturing operations, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure production goals are achieved safely, efficiently, and on time. Target Bonus Responsibilities:
As Production Supervisor, you will: Lead and supervise production assembly personnel to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and delivery goals Plan and schedule production orders, assembly activities, and material consumption Monitor production schedules and communicate potential delays or interruptions Drive continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs Analyze production data, create KPI reports, and implement corrective actions as needed Coach, train, motivate, and develop team members Conduct performance reviews and support employee development programs Promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with OSHA and HSSE requirements Maintain department equipment, machinery, inventory levels, and work areas Collaborate with cross-functional teams including
Production, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and Operations Desired Background/Skills:
Minimum 4 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment Strong leadership and team development skills ERP system experience Proficient computer skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines A hands-on leader who leads by example Results-oriented and driven by continuous improvement Detail-oriented and highly organized Comfortable analyzing production metrics and making data-driven decisions Able to motivate teams and create accountability Self-directed with a strong sense of urgency
