Production / Warehouse Supervisor Job Description The Production/Warehouse Supervisor oversees day-to-day production, warehouse operations, ensuring that receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping activities run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. This role leads a team of warehouse associates, drives productivity and quality standards, and supports continuous improvement in warehouse process (team of 10-12) Responsibilities Supervise daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping, to ensure efficient and accurate operations. Lead, coach, and motivate warehouse associates to meet productivity, quality, and safety standards. Assign daily work tasks to warehouse team members and monitor progress to ensure deadlines and service levels are consistently met. Oversee onboarding and training of new employees to ensure they understand operational procedures, safety requirements, and performance expectations. Provide ongoing performance feedback and guidance to team members to support their development and maintain high performance. Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety standards to maintain a safe and compliant work environment. Assist with maintaining inventory accuracy, including supporting cycle counts and ensuring proper organization of warehouse space. Identify operational issues or bottlenecks and recommend process improvements to management to enhance efficiency and service quality. Coordinate with the Warehouse Manager and cross-functional teams to support business needs and resolve operational challenges. Monitor the use of warehouse equipment and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate parties. Essential Skills Proven supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution environment. Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide, support, and develop a team. Clear and effective communication skills for interacting with staff and cross-functional teams. Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing operational demands. Working knowledge of warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping. Experience with inventory control practices, including cycle counts and stock organization. Solid understanding of warehouse safety practices and procedures. Comfort using MS Office applications for reporting, communication, and tracking. Experience working with warehouse or inventory management systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in logistics, inventory management, supervision, or warehouse management. Experience in production supervision or similar operational leadership roles. Strong team-building skills with the ability to foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.
