Job Title:
Supervisor Job Description The Supervisor oversees a large team in a manufacturing environment, ensuring daily operations run smoothly and efficiently. This role manages workforce performance, coordinates with key departments, and supports employees to meet production and quality expectations. The Supervisor maintains accurate timekeeping and reporting while addressing performance, attendance, and disciplinary issues in a fair and consistent manner. Responsibilities Oversee and support a workforce of more than 100 employees in a manufacturing setting, ensuring safe, efficient, and productive operations. Complete daily timekeeping and reporting accurately, including tracking hours worked and attendance for all assigned employees. Partner with operations, human resources, and other supervisors to align on workforce needs, staffing levels, and performance expectations. Monitor attendance, productivity, and overall workforce performance to ensure production goals and quality standards are met. Identify and address performance issues, attendance trends, and disciplinary concerns in a timely and consistent manner. Provide clear direction, coaching, and support to employees to promote engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement. Communicate operational updates, changes, and expectations to team members and leadership as needed. Help maintain a safe working environment by reinforcing policies, procedures, and best practices on the production floor. Essential Skills Proven leadership experience in a supervisory or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Ability to effectively oversee and coordinate the work of a large team of 100+ employees. Strong timekeeping and reporting skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Capability to monitor and evaluate workforce performance, including attendance and productivity metrics. Experience addressing performance issues, attendance concerns, and disciplinary actions in a fair and consistent manner. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with operations, human resources, and other supervisors. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and sound decision-making. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in a manufacturing or production environment. Comfort working in a hot, non-climate-controlled facility. Ability to build positive working relationships and foster teamwork.
