Position Overview:
The Foreman is responsible for leading and assisting a crew in the installation of fences while maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, and safety. This position is hands-on, meaning the foreman will work alongside their crew to complete installations — not just supervise them. You do not have to be an experienced fence installer to apply. Though, we are looking for someone who has fence experience, we only require previous construction experience. We will provide training on installing fence. The ideal candidate understands how to read site surveys, interpret drawings, and ensure precise fence layouts. They should be able to install standard fencing types such as chain-link, vinyl, and aluminum. The candidate should be organized, dependable, and motivated to deliver top-tier results for every customer, while leading an efficient and organized crew on the job site. This role is not just an installer. This person is expected to think ahead, lead crews, identify issues, communicate clearly, and help prevent problems before they happen.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and work alongside the crew to install fences of various materials (chain link, vinyl, wood, aluminum, etc.). Read and interpret site surveys, drawings, and job layouts. Find property pins and set string lines to ensure all fence lines and post placements are accurate. Understand and execute the proper order of installation, from layout to cleanup. Receive project handoffs from the Sales Representative or Project Manager and ensure completion according to company quality standards. Maintain job site safety, cleanliness, and professionalism. Make sure PPE (personal protective equipment) is worn and safety standards are followed by the crew. Communicate effectively with team members, management, and clients as needed. Adapt to varying site conditions, including uneven terrain, heat, and weather challenges common to Florida job sites.
