JOB SUMMARY

: We are looking for an effective Warehouse Supervisor to direct shipping, and warehousing operations. You will oversee the efficient shipping, storage, value-adding servicing and dispatch of a wide variety of products. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse/shipping processes are running smoothly and promptly.

THE PAY:

Rate is based on current experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategically manage warehouse/shipping in compliance with company's policies and vision Oversee shipping, warehousing, distribution operations. Track and manage inventory. Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization. Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures. Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements. Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security. Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system. Plan work routes, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results. Recruit, select, orient, coach and motivate employees. Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report etc.) Supervise warehouse/shipping staff

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Proven work experience as a warehouse/shipping supervisor Expertise in warehouse supervision procedures and best practices Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives. Strong knowledge of warehousing/shipping Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Strong leadership skills and ability manage staff. Strong decision making and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills Must be good with math and data entry

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

: Bachelor's degree in logistics, or related fields. Experience in lieu of education for an exceptional candidate. 2-3 years of experience

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS A

mix of Office and Facility (Plant) Environment at single manufacturing facility. Required to sit and type on a keyboard throughout the day. Walking required during the day to Supervise employees. Speak and write clearly and effectively in English in order to communicate with internal and external business partners. Demonstrate the manual dexterity required for occasional reaching and lifting of small objects, and operating appropriate equipment in the department, including the use of a computer. Must be able to sit for extended periods of time. Must be able to perform work in a manufacturing environment, with usually moderate noise levels and exposure to fragrances and chemicals used in the manufacture of personal care/cosmetic products.
