Full Job Description Description:
Primary Responsibilities Ensure production workers are fulfilling their job description requirements. Develops and communicates overall strategies/plans within the plant. Assist in managing the operation to meet financial goals. Provides a safe work environment and protects the assets of Shaw's Southern Belle. Produces a high-quality product and ensures that all GMP, HACCP, and BRC standards are followed. Ensures plant-wide compliance with Shaw's Quality systems. Participates in safety and food safety audits; supports, contributes and ensures compliance. Ensure all areas of plant are ready to fulfill production requirements based on each production schedule as it is developed and published. Exposure to and experience with GMPs, USDA, USDC, FDA, BRC standards, HACCP programs, OSHA standards, plant safety programs, etc. Operational knowledge of plant processes and equipment. Demonstrated history of continuous improvement and cost control.
Cold chain familiarity:
Experience handling perishable goods, maintaining temperature control, and following food safety/handling regulations is critical. OSHA training or equivalent for warehouse and cold storage environments. Food safety handling, temperature monitoring, and perishable goods storage protocols.
Requirements:
Food Manufacturing experience
REQUIRED
Previous leadership in a manufacturing environment. Able to stand for more than 12 hours. Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
